Some of y’all know I’ve been wrestlin’ with this blog thing for a long damn time.
Never quite knew what it was supposed to be.
Never posted with any regularity.
Hell, I didn’t even know what to call it, so I named it The Diary of a Bluesman and let it sit there like a catch-all drawer.
Same way I use YouTube.
Like a closet.
I just throw stuff in there. Songs. Thoughts. Half-finished ideas.
Figured maybe one day I’d organize it… or maybe somethin’ good would rise to the top on its own.
Then today, the strangest idea hit me.
That QR code on the Fat Mule mug I’m workin’ on.
I started wonderin’ where it oughta land when somebody scans it.
And it dawned on me—
what if it landed right here?
My blog is already the landing page for my Bluesman site, which is wild by itself, ‘cause I don’t even blog like a normal human being.
But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense.
If somebody scans that mug and finds somethin’ they like, they might stay awhile.
If they don’t, they’ll leave.
That’s true for music.
That’s true for anything.
It ain’t a bad place to land.
And once you land, you can always go somewhere else.
That’s all this is anyway—an entry point.
A front door.
So yeah… people might be lookin’ for music.
They might be expectin’ a sales pitch.
And instead, they land straight in my head.
That’s a hell of a place to be.
Welcome home.
