2017 King Biscuit Festival in Helena Arkansas was a great festival

Playing the King Biscuit Blues Festival was a real joy for us. For years we've heard about this festival and place; but getting to experience it was an honor. The people who put this event are the best . From the time we got there till we left, they took good care of us.  This was my second year playing the Biscuit, this time I played on the Lockwood Stackhouse Stage.  It is named after two delta buesmen:  Robert Jr. Lockwood and Houston Stackhouse, Sr.

Last year I played for the Delta Cultural Center 2016 Front Porch Blues Bash on the Front Porch Stage.  The FPBB is also the recipient of the "Arkansas Delta Byways 2016 Cultural Heritage Award".  The 2016 FPBB DVD was released in July 2017 and can be purchased from DCC via email:  info@deltaculturalcenter.com or by phone at (870) 338-4350 during their business hours of 8:30-5:00p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.  I recommend to any Blues lover to check out this festival in the mouth of the Delta right on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, Helena, AR.
