497: Hell Breaking Loose in 360 , Look around

I’ve been fooling around with something new.

And like most things around Fat Mule, I ain’t exactly sure where it’s gonna lead yet.

This right here is my first 360° photo from Fat Mule Studio.

Big thanks to Jocko for donating the 360 camera and giving us a chance to experiment with something I’ve been thinking about for a while.

See, the blues was never meant to just be heard.

You ought to be able to stand in it.

Feel the room. See the guitars leaning against the wall. Look behind you. Look above you. Catch all those little things a regular photograph leaves outside the frame.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out with this 360 stuff.

And this first picture ain’t some big production.

It’s just me.

Right here in Fat Mule Studio.

Learning.

Pushing buttons.

Probably pushing a few wrong damn buttons.

But you gotta start somewhere.

We’ve got festivals coming up next week, and if I can get the hang of this thing, maybe I’ll bring y’all along for some of that too. Not just a picture of the stage—but a chance to look around and feel like you’re standing there with us.

That’s the idea, anyway.

For now, consider the studio door open.

Come on in.

Watch your step.

Have a seat.

And look around.

Welcome to Fat Mule in 360°.

Where should I take this thing next?
