LOCATION: Pressed in Alabama. OPERATIONS: Documenting the Blues Frequency.

This is not a clothing brand. This is a Living Ledger. Every shirt released is a numbered Volume in the Archive. We don't sell "merch"—we issue Testimonies.

📽️ THE DIGITAL RECORD (How to Log Your Witness)

To maintain the integrity of the Archive, we use a serialized hashtag system. If you are a holder of a Volume, it is your duty to log it into the algorithm.

#FatMuleArchive – The Master Ledger. Use this for all general transmissions.

#TheTestimonySeries – Use this when wearing a Festival Volume.

#FMA[Volume Number] – Your Serial Number. (Example: #FMA007 for Lancaster or #FMA010 for Birmingham).

🏛️ THE ROSTER RULES

500 PRESSINGS: Once a Volume hits the 500-count limit, the plates are smashed. No restocks. No second chances.

THE WEIGHT: We print on heavy cotton because the Blues has weight. If it’s light, it ain’t us.

BE THE TESTIMONY: If you wear the Archive to a show, record the sound. Post it. Tag it. Let the Roster see what you see.

We’re not a commercial label.
We’re a boutique blues house.
Scarcity. Legacy. Truth. That’s the load this Mule carries.

 

The Story of the Mule

My father once told me about the day he fell off a mule on the way to school.

Ninth grade. Cold morning. That mule was too fat for him to climb back on.
So he led it back home and said, “I quit school.” Then he walked away.

That story stuck with me.
Because sometimes life throws you a fat mule — too stubborn, too heavy, too much to climb back on.
You can fight it, or you can lead it back home and make your own road.

That’s what this label is.
Fat Mule Records is my road.
Stubborn blues, too heavy for the mainstream, carried home and turned into legacy.
