Good morning. The sky's still blue. Another rainy day here in North Alabama. It's been raining here for two weeks. Last week there were flash floods in my neighborhood. Water all over the roadside and in the ditches. water, water, water, but the good news is.
This morning I got word that I might be able to play the Juke Joint Festival again. This time I might be playing with Marcus “Mookie” Cartwright. That would be a treat. I enjoy playing with that young man. He's very talented. Lots of fun backing him up. I hope it's official and all comes together. The festival is usually in April in Clarksdale Mississippi. I played there for two years in a row and would love to be able to play there again. I'm honored to be able to play in the Delta.
If I do play it maybe I can scope it and share some of the journey with you on. Its road trip time.
