Keyboard Player Ronnie Massey goes on to soul heaven

Ronnie Massey grew up in North Al. Triana and Madison area. He was a true blues artist with a smothe right hand style that he taught himself on keyboard.

Ronnie was very athletic when he was growing up and spent lots of time on the basketball court. He was a star player at Bob Jones High School in Madison Al. He was a graduate of the class of 1974.

Ronnie started playing guitar while in grade school . He thought that he liked keyboard better and started to spend his leisure time playing tunes at home . Ronnie never wanted to play professionally and spent most of his time playing for his friends and family in the community around the house or at church.

Ronnie was a tremendous inspiration for me in my early years of playing guitar. Mr Bradley, the music director at Madison school , encouraged us to form a band after school and we went on the win local talent shows and trophies for best bands.

He has children and 12 grandchildren that i'm sure will keep his blues alive . Blues musicians like Mr Ronnie Massey can never die because their influences and the lives that he touched thru his music will live on . R.I.P Alabama Blues Man Ronnie Massey.
